We conduct and study everything which evolves from conscious questions to materializing concepts. We search for the core essence of the world we live in and believe that honest and appropriate creations construct a better future.
Students at 1-5 Design Lab think and act to carry out their chosen field of studies. We guide and support the students to expand the future scenario with professional knowledge and experiences.
We are interested in broadening and overcoming personal limitations and proposing a fresh perspective to everything that we consider mundane. 1-5 Design Lab provides an environment where students can participate in design practice with diverse groups: private individuals, corporations, NGOs, government organizations and more.
1-5 Design Lab now has more than 50 students and still increasing in number, and more than 20 students working to apply to RISD for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
RISD is truly the best place to be! (I tell students and parents all the time).
