Conrad Philias Richard (1924-2017)
Conrad P. Richard, 93, of Acushnet, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, July 14, 2017. He was the son of the late Evariste and Anna (Lacourse) Richard, and the beloved husband of Shirley (Silver) Richard, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Mr. Richard graduated from New Bedford High School in 1941 and served as an Aviation Fire Controlman in the United States Navy during WWII. After completing his military service, he attended the New Bedford Institute of Technology and the Rhode Island School of Design.
Says his daughter, "My dad was very proud to be an alumni! He wore his class ring his throughout his life."
