Alum launches Substack focused on the Art World
Written works about my time in the Art World, (my time at RISD & SAIC specifically) and being in the US Army and the Iraq War. In this space I talk about everything I know being an artist (cross hatching, oil painting, ceramic hand building, carpentry, welding, performance, and memoir excerpts).
Through my work I transform my personal trauma into painting, sculpture, Op-Eds, improv, etc. confronting identity, resilience, cultural tension, and marginalized voices.
