RISD Alumni named Guggenheim fellow
A.K. Burns received the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation fellowship in Fine Art.
Guggenheim Memorial Foundation announced the 2021 fellowships, awarded to scholars, writers, and artists based on prior achievement. A.K. Burns received the fellowship in Fine Art to support the completion of a ‘Negative Space’ —a cycle of four multi-channel video installations that takes science fiction as a point of departure—and the publishing of a compendium to accompany this decade-long project to be completed in 2023.
