Alum receives Flansburgh Young Designer Award
The Earl R. Flansburgh Young Designers Award recognizes design excellence by an emerging designer under 40.
Join 2022 Award recipient, Sae-Hyun Kim BArch 07, a principal at CBT, as he shares his journey of finding a balance in contrasting perspectives in his wide-ranging work spanning urban design, architecture, research, and exhibitions. With the firm belief that design has a critical role in embracing dualities in our increasingly polarized world, Sae aims to use a handful examples of his work to offer insights into the evolving dynamics of the design process and the architectural profession. For Sae, the success of a design is determined not by how beautiful the project is or how well it performs, but by the depth of the dialogue it generates and the magnitude of its impact. We invite you to engage in this enlightening conversation.
The program will also include a discussion on the Flansburgh Award application process with the BSA Honors and Awards Committee. Sae will share his strategy and the Committee will offer an overview of their review process.
