Alum creates nature-inspired playscape company
Dawn White MFA 07 JM is the owner of a nature-inspired playscape company, C.O.R.E. (Children Outdoors Ready to Explore) Associates.
White is excited to share some of her recent projects in the hope of spreading the word on the importance of nature-based learning and outdoor education. C.O.R.E. strives to bring nature to urban-bound spaces and create nature-inspired playscapes that engage young minds in discovery and exploration.
In 2020, C.O.R.E. was featured on the cover of the National Recreation and Park Association's Park and Recreation magazine. C.O.R.E. had just completed a project with the City of Chattanooga, Tennessee (where White is located now) at Eastlake Park and it was showcased in their "Nature at Play" issue. C.O.R.E. also recently completed two projects with the YMCA of Chattanooga and Zoo Knoxville. White's company has worked all over the country, spreading the word on nature-based play.
