Art is essential to my life and RISD has been at the core since I was a teenager. I took RISD Museum classes and later the Pre-College program, where I created the majority of my portfolio. I earned my RISD BFA in Illustration in 1985 and my RISD CE Natural Science Illustration Certificate in 2005. I enjoy painting natural subjects (birds, flowers, landscapes) as well as portraits of beloved pets; "Blue Luther" is the most recent and my favorite. Luther's parents are my daughter Fiona and her boyfriend Marc, and we all adore him. I think he looks quite regal posing in his throne!
