Commissioned architectural watercolor by the real estate company the Stahl Organization in New York, NY. The National Historic Landmark building design by York + Sawyer Architects is the flagship branch for Apple Bank for Savings completed in 1928. Being able to effectively listen, and then communicate the client's vision for a light filled rendition of the bank hall in a vignette style was essential. My illustration process of developing compositional thumbnails, making sample watercolors, and completing a final artwork with an emphasis on hand painted craft was all informed from my training at RISD.
