Over the 30+ years that I have been painting, I’ve explored a very wide range of styles. This exploration is fueled by the continuous search for how to best express the world I perceive. Moving between impressionistic form and expressive gesture my work represents extracts of my reality, a reality nurtured by an inner dialog and endless studies of light, color, shape and composition.
Afternoon at the Rio Grande, Truth or Consequences NM was done from a sketch and depicts the mid afternoon atmosphere on a late summer day at one of my most beloved spots, looking over the river towards Turtleback mountain.
