TechTrek 2020
RISD students experience the design world in San Francisco and Silicon Valley in person with designers and alumni at tech companies and startups.
TechTrek, hosted by the RISD in Tech Affinity Group, is a Spring Break 2020 trip to San Francisco and Silicon Valley where students explore the tech industry, design jobs, start-ups and design culture. Blending company visits, product demonstrations, fireside chats and networking with alumni and other design professionals, students leave TechTrek with an understanding of what it takes to be a new-grad designer in tech. Discover how to engage with these companies for job opportunities and how to develop industry connections and mentors.
Financial assistance is available so that all students who apply and are selected may participate.
TechTrek was developed by RISD in Tech Affinity Group co-leaders Jonathan Arena 09 GD and Mike Neff 04 PH and is implemented by the RISD Alumni Association in collaboration with the Career Center.
